America’s Award-Winning President

I believe that marriage is the union between a man and a woman. Now, for me as a Christian, it’s also a sacred union. God’s in the mix.” (Barack Obama – April 17th, 2008)

7 years later…

America’s 44th President can add another award to his trophy case thanks to being voted as “Out” magazine’s 2015 “Ally” of the Year.

The “Ally” award is given to an individual who has championed the “rights” of LGBT’s…which definitely includes the new “legalization” of homosexual marriage. And sadly, there’s very few politicians that come even close to rivaling the President’s political agenda in this area of light for darkness and darkness for light (Isaiah 5:20).

I’m sure the President is so proud of his award…err, make that a certain sort of pride in his award.

I wonder if President Obama repeated the whole “God’s in the mix” thing during his acceptance speech? EA

It is an abomination for kings to commit wickedness, for a throne is established by righteousness.” (Proverbs 16:12)

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” (Proverbs 29:2)

What happened to the diversity of thought being a good thing?

An athlete can come out as a cross-dressing homosexual and they are praised by the media as being a heroic example, while another athlete speaks out as a cross promoting Christian and they are castigated by the media as being a bigot and are told to keep their beliefs at home.

A politician that sees no sin in anyone other than those who call a spade a spade can sing “Amazing Grace” and they’re called the “reverend-in-chief”, while another politician who sees and calls out the sin that causes humanity’s need for amazing grace and they’re called a “homophobe” who clings to an out-of-date book.

A law can be created to “protect” an individual’s lifestyle from those who disagree with it and it’s seen as just and fair, while the same law can force those who disagree with being forced into doing something that goes against their lifestyle into doing that very thing and somehow there’s no inequality or injustice in it.

So what happened to that idea that said diversity of thought was a good thing? I guess it’s only good until the thought differs from the desired diversity…which doesn’t sound very diverse at the end of the day, now does it? EA

He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Whoever loves wisdom makes his father rejoice, but a companion of harlots wastes his wealth.” (Proverbs 29:1-3)

But who’s doing the counting?

Character counts – even the atheist proclaims such. But when it comes to the atheistic version of theological morality, minus God, I often find myself asking, “But who’s doing the counting?”

How can morality even be counted in a system of belief that has its roots in amorality? It’s an oxymoron from the get go. And it’s a pipe- dream with severe leaks! For a system based upon evolution must demand that evolution continue to happen through the avenue that “got us” to where we are as humans to begin with – survival of the fittest. But survival of the fittest isn’t a very positive moral guideline is it? I mean how can a wolf in sheep’s clothing ever be wrong if the wolf is only doing what he evolved to do? If nature does it then it must be right, right? Of course, unless nature is wrong. It’s fuzzy math to say the least!

Humanism says at the end of the day we’re animals but we’re not supposed to act like it. It says character counts but it refuses to add into the equation the fact that animals don’t care about character – and they care even less for math. EA

Do we have a direct line to the Divine when it comes to morality?

Hillary Clinton, in a recent interview about the evolution of her view on homosexual marriage with Terry Gross, host of NPR’s “Fresh Air”,  said:

One of my big problems right now is that too many people believe they have a direct line to the divine and they never want to change their mind about anything,

Well one of my big problems with that is when it comes to homosexual marriage and its morality we do have a direct line to the divine – it’s called the word of God (a.k.a. the Bible).

As surely as the word of God reveals his righteousness (Romans 1:16-17) it also reveals the sin that violates it (1 John 5:17). And as surely as the word of God contains the answer to sin (1 John 2:1) it also contains the sins that create the need for an answer (Romans 1:18-32; Galatians 5:13-26; Colossians 3:1-10; Revelation 21:5-8, 22:10-15) which includes the sin of homosexuality.

The problem doesn’t come from not knowing whether or not we have “a direct line to the divine” – it’s that people are ignoring what they hear when they pick up the phone! EA

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.” (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

Out of the Woodwork

“The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.” (Psalm 12:8)

King David, who understood well the effects of a leadership’s morality on their nation, was saying that wickedness and rebellion toward righteousness has a way of coming out of the woodwork when acceptance of sin finds a seat among the honored and the authorities; and in case you haven’t noticed – America’s “woodwork” has been emptying out lately!

Since 2008 approximately 24 States have passed laws recognizing homosexual “marriages” and unions; these include states who have had the will of the people overturned in the courts. People in at least another dozen states are challenging state laws that limit marriage to one man and one woman. Since 2008 the same-sex spouses of the federal executive branch employees have received tax payer funded benefits. Since 2008 the nation’s military has done away with “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and “D.O.M.A.” is a thing of the past.

So what happened in 2008 to make the woodwork let loose? Vileness was exalted. EA

But they paid no attention, and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than the nations whom the Lord had destroyed before the children of Israel. And the Lord spoke by His servants the prophets, saying, “Because Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations (he has acted more wickedly than all the Amorites who were before him, and has also made Judah sin with his idols), therefore thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘Behold, I am bringing such calamity upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears will tingle.” (2 Kings 21:9-12)

One Big Housing Bubble!

It has been truthfully said by some that the new sign of commitment among my age group (the millennials) isn’t a ring on the finger but rather a ring with a house key on it.

Friends, make no mistake, truthful saying or not, there’s a huge difference between being committed to a house and being committed to each other! There’s a huge difference between taking the plunge and plunging one’s self into debt.

Playing house comes with spiritual, emotional and financial bills that are real. Shacking up racks up the debt on your morality, your children and your culture. It’s a faux reality. No brick and mortar house will ever replace the stability or reliability in a relationship that a godly marriage provides (Ephesians 5:22-33).

Marital commitment replaced by a commitment to a home loan? That’s one big housing bubble that won’t do anything but burst!

Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.” (Hebrews 13:4)

Cultural Meltdown

The Western culture is a relatively short-lived mindset in terms of prosperity, government and freedom, and it seems as if we are determined to keep it that way! From the America’s to the European nations to the “Land of the Down Under” a shift is taking place of tectonic proportions. We have forgotten how the west was won!

We are more concerned about the rights of children than we are with raising them right. We are more concerned with houses than we are with homes. We are more concerned about melting icecaps than we are with melting morals. We are more concerned with giving handouts than we are with hands that do not want to work. We are more concerned with people having their freedom from religion than we are with people having freedom of religion. We are more concerned with abortion rights than we are with abortion wrongs. We are more concerned with living it up than we are with living.

According to one brother in Christ who did the math, the West doesn’t know how to be happy because we’re too worried with people being gay…those are my words not his. But his numbers did reveal that Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Iceland, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, and Sweden have all “legalized” homosexual marriage. His research also revealed that laws allowing gay marriage have been proposed, are pending, or have already passed in at least one legislative house in Andorra, Columbia, Finland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Nepal, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and Uruguay. Sadly, since he did his number crunching New Zealand actually legalized homosexual marriage too. On top of that, none of the previous examples include the nine American States (the beacon of the western culture) who have “legalized” homosexual marriages. In less than 10 years America has gone from approving none to approving homosexual marriage in nearly one out of every five states! Do you see how fast a nation and culture can fall down a slippery slope???

If our culture paid less attention to supporting faux families and more attention to supporting the types of families that build strong foundations maybe we would have to worry less about the sinkholes that are swallowing up our identity as a culture.

Unfortunately a cultural thermostat set too high on prosperity has led to cultural thermostat set too low on a spirituality that recognizes our dependence upon the one God of the heavens and the Earth. And my prayer is that the western culture would soon realize that the meltdown we are experiencing is not due to the world getting warmer – it’s due to hearts getting colder! EA

Article Update: As of April 23, 2013, the nation of France “legalized” homosexual marriages as well, and as of May 2, 2013 the American state of New Hampshire “legalized” homosexual marriages raising the percentage of American States to 20% that have done so. As of May 7, 2013 the American state of Delaware “legalized” homosexual marriages sadly raising the number of American states who openly approve of abominations to 11. As of May 13, 2013 the American state of Minnesota “legalized” homosexual marriages sadly raising the number of American states who openly approve of abominations to 12. How fast one falls down the slippery slope! As of October 21, 2013, New Jersey will “approve” of legalized lust. As of December 15, 2013, the state of Hawaii will become the 15th state to join the not-so-United-States in their open approval of closed spiritual hearts…and the state of Illinois’ sun is setting quickly on the horizon as well; and the sun did indeed set in November of 2013 making it the 16th state. As of 12-19-13 and 12-20-13 the state supreme courts of New Mexico and Utah struck the state’s ban on homosexual marriages thus opening another lust filled closet door to sanctioned sin.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.” (Romans 1:18-21)

Faux Prosperity

There are faux-furs, faux-leathers and faux-floors that can give you the look of the real thing, but that’s all they do – they give you the look without the reality! But of all the fauxs out there, perhaps the most fake is faux-prosperity.

Prosperity is a funny thing. Our level of prosperity can be determined by our self or it can be determined for us by someone else. Prosperous is real growth. Prosperity is only a frame of mind.

Reliability, dependability, and accountability all end like prosperity, but only prosperity changes, as reliability, dependability and accountability, by their nature, stay the same. In other words, only when prosperity is brought on by reliable, dependable and accountable ways is prosperity prosper-able. All other prosperity is faux – or fake and fleeting like snowflakes on a sunny day.

People love to talk about five-year highs in the stock market, but they do so while ignoring the fifty year low of morality!

The Psalmist of old said, “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it…” (Psalm 127:1). If we forget this principle as a nation, as a family or as a church, we will live this principle as a nation, as a family or as a church. It is really that simple. If this doesn’t sink in then something’s going to fall in!

Many fine “houses” have been built through the millennia. Nations have watched economic houses, military houses, royal houses, and houses built of the finest materials go from being powerhouses of perceived prosperity to bubbles that popped in the blink of an eye.

Promising prosperity while building it upon faux-materials and a faux-morality is a faux pas that cannot be ignored faux-sure! EA

And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’ So he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.”’ But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”” (Luke 12:17-21)

God Gives Boundaries For A Reason

Some fences are built to keep things out. Some fences are built to keep things in. The most effective fences are built to do both.

The need for a fence is not always determined by what is meant to be kept out. Nor is the need for a fence solely dependent upon what is meant to be kept in. A farmer with livestock might build a fence to keep things in. A business owner may build a fence to keep people out at certain times during the night. A parent with small children may build a fence not only to keep what is harmful from getting in the yard but to also keep what is important inside the yard from going out into dangerous territory.

The American culture is forgetting how important, how valuable and how needed good fences are! Young people, old people and all people need to be taught that the boundaries given to us by God are meant to protect, not to restrict.

A growing majority of the people in America are choosing to openly rebel against God and ignore the plain boundaries that He has given us. People are worried about the future debt of young people – our young people are reaping the consequences of sinful choices today!

Rampant divorces, illegitimate children and the fruits of “sexual freedom” are ripping our hearts out but we refuse to stop. The “land of the free” was never meant to be a land free from the boundaries of God. And the worsening conditions of the heart of our country are being exposed, not by the financial situation we are in, but by the spiritual boundaries that we continue to break and grind to dust. Every foundational principle of the home is under attack socially and politically and the “free living” lifestyle that is so widely promoted in the media and in our nation’s government is coming at a price that we cannot afford to pay. We are getting closer and closer to the “debt ceiling” in more ways than one!!!

God does not want us to learn our lessons the hard way like the “prodigal son” of Luke 15:11-32. But at least the son in that parable learned what boundaries were all about. Unfortunately, people are not learning from their mistakes today. As a matter of fact the average person doesn’t even realize they’re sitting in the stench and mire of the pig pen!!! People have always made mistakes for sure, huge mistakes, but today we (as a nation) are continuing to look at God’s boundaries with increasing disdain instead of acceptance. I suppose we will all find out together what really lies out beyond the boundary in the “far country” eventually.

God has given His grace for a reason but God has given us His law for a reason too! We can listen and learn, and do well; or we can “live” and learn, and deal with the consequences.

The thing about freedom from boundaries that people are forgetting is that it can be equated to a rope with just enough slack to hang our selves with…and the rope is getting tighter everyday! Only in God’s boundaries will we find true protection and freedom. EA

If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.” (John 15:10)

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” (1 John 5:2-5)

Too Many Wombs Have Been Turned Into Tombs!

Does a woman’s womb carry a life, or does a woman’s womb carry a choice?

Regardless of how one answers the second half of the question, the first half is only controversial to the darkened heart!

For one to conceive that it is morally acceptable to turn a womb into a tomb on the basis of some supposed freedom or civil right is abominable. It should be inconceivable to anyone who has any kind of grasp of what simple morality is to think that a “civilized” society should accept a concept such as abortion to be anything but the taking of an innocent life. How fast can the word “Hippocratic” become “Hypocritical”? Say the word “abortion” and you’ll find out.

Is a child in the womb a “life to be born” or must the child be “born to be life” ???

I’ll let this picture speak for itself, for if one will not listen to it they will not listen to anything I have to say:

If you are not familiar with the story behind the picture click here for the details.

Not only is the Bible clear on what a woman carries within her womb, but so is the common sense that accompanies any decent minded parent that has seen their child grow within the body of the mother.

If you find yourself on the other side of the issue, please reconsider and seek the innocent blood of the One who can forgive all the senseless shedding of the innocent blood of others. EA

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was in this way: when his mother Mary was going to be married to Joseph, before they came together the discovery was made that she was with child by the Holy Spirit.”

(Matthew 1:18 – BBE)
