Jesus: The rock of our salvation

His teachings provide the solid rock-foundation that we’re called to build our lives upon (Matthew 7:24-25).

His sonship of God is the very foundation that the church is built upon (Matthew 16:16-18; Romans 1:1-4).

He was the rock that provided life-giving water to those in need in the wilderness, and he still provides this water to this day (1 Corinthians 10:1-4; John 4:1-15, 6:35, 7:37).

He is the cornerstone of great value to God’s priesthood and the rock of offense to those who lack faith (1 Peter 2:5-8).

This person is none other than Jesus, the Christ, of Nazareth.

So when it comes to everything dependable about salvation, this dependability comes from the one to whom our salvation depends upon – the savior, Jesus!

As our rock, our fortress, our deliverer, our God, our strength, our shield, our might and our high-tower, Jesus is trustworthy and worthy of exaltation (Psalm 18:2, 46); for there is no other rock than Jesus that can save our soul from Hell. EA

let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:10-12)

For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 3:11)

As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?” (Psalm 18:30-31)

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.Psalm 95:1).
