There are some people in the religious world who teach that the church is commanded by God to observe the Sabbath day rest.
Truth is if one wants to observe a personal Sabbath they have that spiritual right (Romans 14:5-6) but the right becomes a wrong when one attempts to bind a commandment upon the church that does not originate with God.
Now it’s true that at one time the Sabbath day was a commandment bound by God, but the binding was placed upon fleshly Israel by the Law of Moses through the 10 Commandments and no other nation (Deuteronomy 5).
You just can’t bind the commandment of the Sabbath rest while ignoring the rest that comes with the commandment (Exodus 31:14-15, 35:1-3). EA
“Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law? For it is written that Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondwoman, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and he of the freewoman through promise, which things are symbolic. For these are the two covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar—for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children—but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all.” (Galatians 4:21-26)
